No skin contact
Avoid skin to skin contact with people, specially with those who may have rash or any other skin diseases.
Face mask
Use a high quality face mask to cover your nose and mouth area while stepping out of the house. this will reduce the risk of transmission of the virus.
Sharing is not caring
Do not share bedding, plates, towels, utensils with an monkey pox affected person.
Sanitize
Wash your hands with soap and sanitize your hands with an alcohol based sanitizer frequently.
Avoid animals
Avoid animals that can spread monkey pox, specially rodents and primates. If you have a pet, take utmost care of his hygiene.
Isolation
Isolate yourself if you have fever, sore throat, cough or nasal congestion. Seek for medical help incase of emergency.
Sexual contact
Talk to your sexual partner about their sexual health, especially if you have new or multiple sexual partners. Take a break from sex if you or your partner have symptoms.
Vaccination
Take proper vaccination incase if you are diagnosed with monkey pox.
Avoid non-veg
Avoid eating non veg for few days, especially red meat as it may increase the risk of the virus transmission.
