“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about
― Haruki Murakami (Kafka on the Shore)
Life is what we make it. If the process of growing, we make a lot of mistakes. Life gets hard sometimes. Those who can make it are the ones who survive the storms. What makes Shahrukh Khan a Badshah? Or Akshay Kumar a Khiladi? Or JK Rowling or Elon Mask or even Murakami, who stated the above-quoted line? What makes them different from the rest of the world? It is because they made it through the storm! But they learned from their mistakes and moved on. Life is all about perspective. Life gives us lessons if every possible way, and one should take full advantage of it.
Today we will be sharing with you 10 best life lessons:
1. Be Grateful
Always be grateful for whatever you have in your pocket. Remember, there is someone who doesn’t even have as much as you have. So what you don’t have any exotic dish in your plate, you have rice in your plate, some people will sleep hungry tonight. Be grateful for that. Many people died today, many won’t see the next sunrise, but you are alive! Healthy and breathing. Be grateful for that. Practicing gratitude is a great therapy to overcome hurdles.
2. Don’t Compare
Don’t compare yourself with anyone. Everyone is unique and has a different journey in life. You don’t compare an apple with a potato, do you? Everyone is running their own race. Your friend topped the class, your coworker got the promotion, be happy for them. Work hard and wait for your time to come to you.
3. Don’t Try To Please Everyone
Stop trying to please everyone. You are not chocolate, you can’t please everyone (also, not everyone loves chocolates). Don’t push yourself beyond your limit just to make everyone in the room happy. Instead, focus on yourself and prioritize yourself over others.
4. Take Care Of Your Healthy

Since childhood, we all heard the line “Health is Wealth”. And this is absolutely true. What will you do with all your money and fame if you fall sick and lie in bed all day? Will you be able to enjoy any of the materialistic things? One needs to be healthy in order to be happy. Not just physically healthy, but mentally, spiritually, and emotionally healthy too. You need to have balance in your life in order to enjoy life.
5. Value Time
Time waits for none. Learn to value time. People who are lazy, cannot be successful in life. Because they waste time. They don’t do their pending work by time, keeping it for later, and then don’t get enough time to complete it. Remember the story we read in your childhood about the ant and the grasshopper, where the ant saved food for winters and the grasshopper didn’t and as a result suffered during the winters. So, value and manage your time.
6. Be kind
Be kind to everything. Not only to humans but to the stray dogs, street cats, everyone. Being kind is free of cost and is cool too. Many people think that being kind means being weak. But let us correct you. Being kind doesn’t mean you are weak or vulnerable. In fact, this is your strength. Being kind means you respect everyone equally.
7. Learn To Say No
Practice saying no to people. You don’t have to push your boundaries to please others. Learn to say nowhere required. For example, if two boys propose the same girl at a time, what will she do? Obviously, she will say a no to one or maybe to both of them. Saying no to things you don’t like or don’t want to do will make you feel empowered, at the same time will help you to maintain a good relationship with other people.
8. Cut Of Toxicity

Cut down every toxic thing in your life. Toxic people, toxic situations, toxic thoughts as early as possible, as they are the ones pulling you down every time. A friend of you who don’t celebrate your success, or relatives who feel jealous of your good, are not actually your well-wishers. Don’t hesitate to maintain distance from such people. Also, remove toxic thoughts from your mind too. You can practice meditation for the same. It will help you to be happy in life. Meditation also helps to build a calm and clear mind.
9. Never Stop Trying
Losing is not the end of the story. Failures are a part of life. Learn from past mistakes and try not to repeat them in life. This is what successful people do. They are not born successful. They too faced many failures and rejections before reaching to the point where they are now. But they never stopped trying. And this is what made them stand out among the crowd. JK Rowling was rejected by 12 publishers before she published her book “Harry Porter” and then everyone know the rest.
10. Reputation Is More Important Than Money
Of course, money is important in life. But there are more important things in life too. You need a reputation to live a happy life even if you have less money. Though Mukesh Ambani is the richest man in India, still Ratan Tata is more respected. You got my point right? Money can not buy respect, but your reputation and your characteristics will earn your respect.
